INTERNET EXPLORER PROBLEM, OTHER UPDATES

WINDOWS AND OFFICE UPDATES and INTERNET EXPLORER 8
Microsoft's December release of Office and Windows updates, of which there are many, may have broken Internet Explorer for some people. If you suddenly can't open Internet Explorer, go to Control Panel - Internet Options - Advanced, then click the button for Restore advanced settings.  When done, click the button for Reset.  Close Internet Explorer, then open and try to connect.  You'll need to set your Home Page and configure Internet Explorer 8 options again, but you should now have a working browser.

iTUNES/QUICKTIME 10.1.1
Version update was released late last night. Open iTunes and follow the prompts to update.

MOZILLA FIREFOX  3.6.13
Mozilla Firefox (can't we please just shorten it to "Firefox"? When I say Firefox, why would anyone look for it under "M"?) updated last Friday. Open Firefox, click Tools - Check for updates and follow the prompts.

JAVA 1.6.0.23
Released last week. If you're using a 64-bit version of Windows, be sure to install BOTH 32- and 64-bit versions of Java. It's easy to find at File Hippo; here's the link for 32-bit, and you can find the 64-bit version link under "Related Downloads". Download both to your Desktop, then double-click each, one at a time, to install.

OTHER UPDATES
SUPERAntiSpyware, Skype, and uh, AVG 2011 also updated yesterday. Please, if you're still using AVG, either Version 9 or the new 2011, remove it and install Avast or Avira. Speak up if you want help.

If you have problems with an update or just have a question, let me know and we'll find the answer.
